Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Night Shift

Location: Ilfracombe, North Devon

Salary: Competitive + night shift premium

Job Type: Temporary, approx. 12 months

About the role:

Acorn by Synergie is currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their clients skilled team in Ilfracombe. This is a night shift position, with the primary focus on ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of industrial equipment in the manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Repair and maintain industrial equipment
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems
Replace faulty parts and components
Work closely with the production team to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules
Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies
Keep accurate maintenance records
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer on industrial equipment
Experience in a manufacturing environment desirable
Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications
Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems
Knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery
Experience in conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Working Hours:

This is a night shift position, working 8-hour shifts 23.45pm - 0745am Tuesday-Saturday, with occasional overtime required.
