We are recruiting for a large manufacturing client based in Digbeth for an experienced CNC machinist to calibrate cutting tools and gauges.

* Ideally this would be someone who has done CNC operating, has knowledge of CNC tools and has used a range of gauges.

* The role is measuring cutting tools and checking for wear or damage using bespoke equipment. Training is given on this machine. The aim is to calibrate each tool before use in a CNC machine.

* You will be required to assemble and disassemble CNC spindles with new tooling or replace worn tooling using hand tools.

* When tools are damaged or worn out you will order new tooling through the buying department.

* You will be responsible for storage, booking in and out, and documentation of CNC spindle tool holders

* You would need IT skills and have worked in quality control with a knowledge of calibration.

* You will be responsible for organising external calibration of gauges and the associated paperwork with specialist companies.

* Hours are 7.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 1.30pm Friday.

* This is a permanent position starts immediately
