Logistics Operative / Stores Co-ordinator with demonstratable experience in a similar role is required for a permanent position in Altrincham / Timperley area. Salary is approx. £25,000 - £27,000 (DoE) + excellent benefits see below. The basic working week is approx. 39 hours (Mon to Thur 8:00am – 4:45pm & Fri 8:00am – 3:45pm). This role may suit someone wanting to step up in to a more senior role or a Team Leader / Manager looking to step down but still have full control of stores without the responsibility of managing junior stores staff.

The applicant must have a FLT C/B licence, be organised, have recent stock control / logistics / goods in/out, shipping, parts kitting experience preferably in the Manufacturing, Production or Engineering sector, good communication skills (verbal and written), must be PC literate (Sage 200, MS Excel, Outlook etc.) full UK driving licence (desirable).

The successful Logistics Operative / Stores Co-ordinator day to day duties will include:

* Pack machines and ancillary equipment, collate shipping documents, and ensure all machine documentation is in order prior to shipment

* Kit parts orders, pack orders, collate shipping documentation, and ensure all parts order documentation is in order prior to shipment

* Coordinate transport for machines and parts orders in conjunction with the production office

* Manage warehouse operations, including:

1. Ensure compliance with H&S requirements

2. Receiving and inspecting goods for damages and faults

3. Checking deliveries to goods delivered note

4. Accurate control of stock movement including returns notes, free issue to suppliers etc.

5. Resolving stock queries relating to supplier discrepancies

6. Locating goods in relevant assigned areas

7. Book goods in and record into Sage

8. Carry out warehouse picking schedule / kitting contracts to be built

9. Monitor stock levels to ensure stock availability without excessive inventory levels

10. Review reorder levels regularly

11. Ensure bin locations in recorded in Sage are accurate

12. Investigate, resolve and report stock variances

13. Proactive in reviewing and improving stock control procedures

14. Lead continuous inventory and year-end counts

* Liaise with finance, production and design depts. to ensure a seamless process

* Operate lifting equipment, including overhead crane and forklift truck

* Make deliveries and collections using company vehicle

* Maintain 5S standard housekeeping and contribute to continuous improvement

* Follow company rules as outlined in the employee handbook

The ideal Logistics Co-ordinator / Stores Operative will have the following experience / characteristics:

Demonstratable experience in a similar role.

Prior experience with SAGE 200 & Manufacturing processes

Good computer skills including MS Outlook and MS Excel

Experience of all warehouse duties, preferably using Sage 200 software

Forklift counter balance licence (essential)

Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritise duties in a fast-moving environment.

Good knowledge of mechanical and or electrical components / equipment.

Well organised, enthusiastic, conscientious, good attention to detail, flexible and have a can-do attitude.

Full UK Drivers Licence

Relevant qualifications (NVQ L3, C&G L3, ONC etc.).

Good communicational (verbal, reading and writing) skills.
