Based in Leeds city centre our client is a diverse professional services group.

This is a 12 month maternity contract which isn't a business as usual role. Our client is entrepreneurial, recently completing on an acquisition, and an agile business looking to make the most of market opportunities. They need a commercial and strategic individual to support the Directors and to add real value on strategy and at board meetings.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to help play a big part in the groups future growth plans and development of their finance/operations function.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and develop the full finance function and team to enhance financial systems, processes, and controls
Lead on group budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling activities to provide insights into financial performance and support decision-making
Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, KPI reports, and analysis to the board
Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk effectively to ensure the company's growth strategy
Providing accurate and timely financial information and leading on meetings
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement cost-control measures to improve profitability
Oversee the full month end process and lead the annual statuary accounts with the auditors
Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team, assisting in decision-making and business planning
Create, develop and support a number of on-going ad-hoc commercial projects
We are looking for a career interim or financial controller/financial director looking to take on an interesting 12 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a more experienced person who enjoys working within a collaborative environment.
