A dynamic opportunity awaits an experienced business development professional to join a thriving insurance firm specialising in marine insurance solutions. We're seeking a motivated and proactive individual to drive growth within their commercial marine insurance division by engaging with introducers, insurance brokers and marine trade clients.

What you'll do:

Broker Outreach: Contact existing and potential insurance brokers to promote their full suite of marine products.

Producer Engagement: Re-establish and develop connections with their existing producer network, strengthen relationships, and encourage referrals for both pleasure craft and commercial marine insurance leads.

Direct Business Development: Proactively identify and target potential marine businesses, generating new business opportunities through strategic calling, email campaigns, and networking. Conduct in-person meetings with clients (as needed).

Essential skills and experience for success:

Proven track record in business development and sales within the commercial (SME) insurance or marine insurance industry or an experienced sales professional with contacts in the marine industry.

A strong understanding of the marine industry and its associated risks is highly desirable, but comprehensive marine product/insurance training will be provided.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational and time management abilities

Self-motivated and results-oriented

Proficiency in CRM systems (Open GI or Acturis - although training can be provided) and Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
