Full-Time Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) - North Chesterfield Primary School

Location: North Chesterfield
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Start Date: 22nd April 2025
Fixed Term: Until the end of July 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in a North Chesterfield primary school. This is a full-time, fixed-term role working on a 1:1 basis with a child with additional needs in a Year 6 classroom.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individualised support to a child with additional needs, ensuring they can access all areas of the curriculum.
Assist with differentiated learning activities in the classroom.
Deliver targeted interventions in the breakout area.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the child's social, emotional, and academic development.
Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to support the child's progress.

Requirements

Experience working with children with additional needs in a school setting.
Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children.
Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Available full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
