Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical bias precon manager to manage the mechanical aspects of our M&E projects from initial client introduction to the receipt of order. This role is crucial in ensuring that all project phases—scope definition, design, cost estimation, quoting, and closing orders—are handled efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with clients to understand project requirements and establish scope.
* Develop mechanical designs tailored to project specifications, often working from a clean sheet approach.
* Collaborate with internal teams to create detailed project proposals and cost estimates.
* Prepare and present quotes to clients, addressing any questions or concerns.
* Manage project timelines and ensure deliverables are met.
* Coordinate with contractors and suppliers during the design and build phases.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout all project stages.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Proven experience in managing mechanical projects within M&E sectors.
* Strong understanding of design and build processes, with the ability to work from initial concepts.
* Excellent project management skills, with a focus on delivering quality results on time and within budget.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients and team members.
* Familiarity with relevant software tools for design and project management.
* 5 years experience as a precon manager
