Our client has been a leader in work-based learning for over 40 years offering diverse vocational programmes and holds key contracts in Wales and England.
An exciting opportunity is available for an assessor to join their growing Cardiff office. The assessor will report to the Managing Internal Quality Assurer with a vision to increase the attainment of positive outcomes through the delivery of training programmes and the undertaking of assessments.
Key duties and responsibilities
Specific:
* Ensure all necessary systems, records, and trainee documentation are kept up to date as per code of practice and award body requirements
* Delivery of training programmes to assigned learners/client ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved
* Covering a regional area, travelling to visit learners in workplace to undertake assessments
* Complete ILP’s and map out learning routes for individuals
* Facilitate the availability of tests, additional course materials, and additional training as per required by individuals
* Liaise with other team members in the development of the planning, monitoring, and achievement of agreed performance targets
* Other duties that may be identified from time to time by the company
Essential:
* Experience of delivery within the required area of training
* Experience of Work Based Learning
* Experience of Award Body practices
* CAVA Qualification or equivalent qualification
* Assessor experience
* ESW Communication Level 2
* ESW Application of Number Level 2
* Occupational experience within the route ways delivering
* Apprenticeship delivery experience with the route ways delivering
* Full driving licence with use of own vehicle
Qualified in or with the potential and willingness to work towards:
* TAQA Qualification or equivalent qualification
* City & Guilds 9300 Level 2 in supporting Adults and Young People in Essential Skills
