We are looking for Reviews Officer for a temp to perm position in Haringey area, to start in immediately.

Hours: 36 hours per week (home working)

Rate: £24.53/h PAYE

The successful candidate will be providing professional Reviews service primarily on matters of suitability of accommodations and allocations

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

* Conducting reviews under S202 of the Housing Act 1996 on matters of suitability of all forms of accommodation and matters relating to ending of the main duty due to refusal of temporary accommodation, part 6 or private rented accommodation or acceptance of part 6 or private rented accommodation or.

* Conducting allocations (registrations) reviews under S166A of the Housing Act 1996

* Supporting the Reviews Manager to carry out reviews, providing information, and working collaboratively on cases, where required.

* Providing general support, guidance and assistance to staff dealing with temporary accommodation and interim accommodation.

* Providing general support, guidance and assistance to staff dealing with settled accommodation offers of social housing.

* Providing general support, guidance and assistance to staff dealing with settled accommodation offers in the private sector.

* Providing information to internal and external partners and respond to solicitors and Ombudsman as required.

* Initiating and delivering training on key legislation and case-law to other areas of the service.

* Writing and updating policies to reflect the changing nature of reviews and deliver appropriate training.

Requirements:

* Experience of carrying out S202 homeless reviews is a MUST

* Comprehensive knowledge of Part 7 Housing Act 1996 and associated case law and legislation.

* Experience of doing allocations reviews would be desirable but not essential.
