Are you a Principal Electronics Design Engineer, or a Senior Electronic Design Engineer looking for the next step in your career, based in Rochester, Kent?

My client are a world leading manufacturer of commercial and industrial fire detection and emergency lighting solutions. They are looking for a Principal Electronics Design Engineer to design, develop and sustain electronic hardware products. The job will include working on development cycles for existing products and new product development. You will also be doing analogue and digital design at system, product, and circuit level. The successful candidate will be working alongside the existing multidiscipline R&D team but should also be comfortable working alone.

The Principal Electronics Design Engineer role based in Rochester, Kent, will include:

Architectural leadership, this role will be 20% management, 80% design and documentation
Apply expertise in both analog and digital design at system, product, and circuit levels
Identify and recommend new tools and techniques to drive continuous improvements in the hardware development process.

Requirements:

Min 5+ years' hands-on experience in electronics hardware design and development job.
Expert in electronic hardware architecture design, schematic capture, PCB layout (including high-speed, EMC, and Signal Integrity best practices) using Altium 365
Familiarity with popular microcontrollers and embedded systems
Experience in designing mixed-signal circuits with an emphasis on very low power, low voltage, and low noise characteristics
Experience in designing products for CE/UKCA, EN54, UL868, NFP72, and other global certification markets related to the life safety industry
