About the role

We’re excited to be looking for a Procurement and Supply Manager to play a key role in shaping and delivering high quality, professional procurement and supply management practices for the business.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement and Supply, we’re looking for a talented individual who can work collaboratively as part a small, but busy Procurement, Supply and Legal Team. You’ll build strong working relationship with Heads of Department and other key personnel across the organisation and form the bridge between the supplier, team and the wider business.

This role is a great opportunity to work on a dynamic range of diverse projects and relationships across a variety of disciplines, categories and different suppliers. With great communication skills and effective internal and external stakeholder management skills, this role offers plenty of scope to help shape the function and deliver our long-term vision. As well as the main procurement and supply chain activities, you’ll also get involved in audits, supply and supplier risk, business continuity and treatment plans, change and innovation.

How you’ll make an impact:

* Actively contributing towards the effective delivery of the Procurement and Supply Strategy by ensuring that procurement and supply policies and processes are aligned with best practice, public procurement legislation (as required) and NCFE’s own policies and regulations

* Leading and coordinating procurement activities, such as sourcing activities, tenders, and quotation comparisons, while working with key internal stakeholders to gather the organisation's requirements

* Ensuring that suppliers have good visibility of NCFE operational requirements and performance obligations through proactive communication, regular meetings, audits, monitoring of performance and sharing of business plans

* Working with key suppliers and internal NCFE data to agglomerate statistics and key insights of the supply chain to share with the wider business

* Reviewing and maintaining supplier profiles, categorisation, compliance, risk and business continuity plans to ensure NCFE meets its contractual and regulatory obligations

* Effective internal and external stakeholder management skills and experience

* Demonstrable experience in supplier relationship and contract management

* Experience and knowledge in delivering tenders and other procurement activities

* A proven track record of driving value and innovation in procurements and contracts

* Experience and knowledge of all compliance, risk and business continuity aspects associated with procuring and managing key suppliers in a regulated industry
