We are newly seeking a Building Inspector / Warranty Surveyor to service development sites in the South West (ideal candidate based in the Dorset / Devon area).

The position requires a strong working knowledge of building regulations and the ability to undertake site inspections to assess both quality and the cause/effect of building defects. The organisation inspect a vast array of developments, ranging from one-off £500k self-builds to £300m HRB’s, so there is certainly opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects.

Suitable applicants will ideally come from a Building Inspector / Warranty / Building Control / Building Surveying / Clerk of Works / Site Management background. The Client will consider those with transferrable site construction skills, providing you can also display a genuine eagerness to learn.

Person Specification:

· Part or Full member of professional organisations: RICS / CIOB / CABE / Similar

· Prior experience in a Building Inspector, Building Control or Warranty Surveying capacity is preferable but not essential

· In depth technical knowledge of Building Regs and other relevant construction standards

· Ability to undertake site inspections to assess quality & the cause/effect of building defects

· Full UK Driving Licence
