Due to rapid expansion, we are seeking Mechanical Build Engineers to join our friendly teams.

Mechanical Build Engineer.

Office/Workshop based.

Job type: Full-time

Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

The role

· Critically review technical drawings, build quality, electromechanical automation systems to specification in line with required safety standards.

· Accurately build and test mechanical systems.

· Identify and solve mechanical faults.

· Ability to communicate and work well within a team.

· Work independently and collaboratively across departments.

· Independent proactive working, sharing skills, experience and feedback to other departments.

· Travel to client sites for project installation and maintenance.

· British Citizenship is essential to obtain security clearance up to Developed Vetting level.

· Occasional weekend working during installation or busy periods.

· Overtime opportunities during installation or busy periods.

Requirements:

* HNC qualified in a mechanical-focused course, or mechanical apprentice trained, or equivalent level of experience.

* Good level of general mechanical workshop and machining skills, ability to use milling machines, lathes and grinders, drilling and tapping.

* Ability to communicate at all levels in both written and verbal English

* Confident in reading and understanding technical mechanical drawings

* Initiative, working well independently and within a team.

* Ability to problem solve.

* Good understanding of industrial and safety systems.

* Able to plan workload, and complete tasks autonomously

* Knowledge of health and safety requirements

* A full UK driving license

* Willing and able to travel to customer sites

* Ability to obtain vetted security clearance/DBS checks
