DEPUTY MANAGER/ HORTICULTURAL MANAGER

Our client is a well thought of London based garden centre business with a number of sites in and around London.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager who can work with the Manager of this site and oversee the Horticultural Department.

The role will include: -

Operational management
Works with the Garden Centre Manager to manage the retail space and Garden Centre environment optimising the customer experience, team member work environment and commercial contribution

Team management
Supports with the recruiting, motivation and day to day management of the team ensuring the successful delivery of the annual Garden Centre objectives

Business planning
Supports and contributes to the annual business plan for the Garden Centre to clarify the financial ambition

Customer care
Resolves customer issues and complaints to bring about effective resolution and encourage customers to return

Resource management
Ensures an efficient management in resourcing the Garden Centre to optimise the customer experience and cost management

Business development
Works in collaboration with the local community and other internal departments, concession partners to create customer offers and events that inspire customers to visit and buy

Qualifications

Horticultural qualifications desirable

Experience
Supervisory experience within a customer-orientated retail environment essential
