Senior Project Manager - £650 per day -Inside IR35 - Hybrid working 2 days a week at a site near Slough - 6 months initial contract.
Our client, a global supplier to the nuclear energy industry, is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and deliver complex, multi-national projects, particularly in the fields of information governance and regulatory compliance. This role will require managing diverse stakeholders and ensuring the successful implementation of strategic projects within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own the Delivery of Workstreams and Projects
Collaborate with business analysts, solutions architects, subject matter experts, and external vendors to scope and shape new projects aligned with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
Plan, mobilise, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards, ensuring adherence to company policies, best practices, and information security standards.
Identify and implement solutions (technology or business process changes) that meet business needs.
Manage project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID), ensuring that project documentation is accurate and up to date.
Lead governance forums, provide status updates, and secure project decisions and approvals, escalating issues where necessary.
Ensure results and insights from projects are shared with key stakeholders to inform strategic adaptations and future planning.
2. Manage Project Resources
Ensure adequate resourcing for all projects, including internal team assignments and the procurement of external vendors or services.
Hold team members and external partners accountable for delivering on their commitments.
Manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and funding is appropriately allocated.
3. Lead Change Management
Support internal communications and stakeholder engagement for the projects, leading any required interventions such as staff training or workforce engagement.
Ensure that changes are successfully deployed and embedded within the business, with full adoption by relevant teams.
Oversee the transition of projects to business-as-usual (BAU) and ensure that success is measured and lessons learned are captured for future improvement.
Required Experience & Skills
Proven experience in leading large, multi-national projects from inception to completion, preferably within information governance, data management, or compliance.
Experience managing RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) within a regulated environment, particularly when dealing with sensitive data or regulatory challenges.
A background in delivering projects in regulated sectors, with experience in data governance, automated classification, or compliance being advantageous.
Knowledge of the nuclear sector or relevant regulatory frameworks would be beneficial but not essential.
Expertise in project management best practices, including detailed planning, stakeholder engagement, and governance.
Strong experience in business change management, from building the case for change through to ensuring adoption and embedding changes into business processes.
Ideally, an understanding of regulatory and cyber risk management, especially in the context of information governance
