Job Title: CNC/Setter/Operator
Salary: 30k - 40k (negotiable depending on experience)
Location: Bolton

This is a permanent position, Monday - Thursday, 7.30am - 4.00pm and Friday, 7.30am - 1.00pm

We are seeking a technically skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join our busy manufacturing client. This successful candidate will work at a “mid-senior level” alongside the Plant Manager and Production planning team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

* Responsible for setting, operating & training on CNC mill and turning machines (Including 5 Axis bed milling machines.

* CNC programming using Fusion 360.

* Supporting the production planning team to ensure customer requirements are achieved.

* Achieving tight tolerances on a range of machinery.

* Achieving manufacturing hours and deadlines to meet the customers’ needs.

* Ensuring you will become part of the right first-time culture.

* Adherence to all Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

* Ensuring high levels of quality and workmanship are maintained.

* Supporting other departments in the manufacture of products.

* Completion of all paperwork to maintain complete traceability.

Key Skills

* Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter, and Operator in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work to tight deadlines, under pressure.

* Ability to train, manage and be responsible for new employees as and when required.

* Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.

* Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality parts.

* Ability to work both alone and within a team, to meet the needs of the production department.

* Ability to interpret machine symbols and technical drawings.

* Knowledge of engineering inspection equipment.

(CNC Programming experience would be advantageous for this role, however this is not essential)
