Grinder Setter/Operator – Centreless grinder (Permanent Role)

Location: Leicester

Shifts Available:

* AM Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (early finish on Friday at 11:30 am)

* Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 pm – 6:00 am

Rate of Pay:

* £15.95/hr – AM shift

* £18.10/hr – night shift

Start Date: Immediate start available

Employment Type: Permanent from day one

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up, troubleshoot, and operate grinding machines to produce fasteners within tight tolerances.

* Utilise gauges, micrometres, and shadowgraphs to verify parts conform to drawings.

* Perform self-inspection and certification of work.

* Validate programs to meet manufacturing and quality standards.

* Keep computer files and manual records precise and current.

* Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the workspace.

* Follow all quality protocols and engage in root cause analysis.

The Candidate:

* Previous experience setting and operating grinding machines.

* Proficient in using gauges and micrometres.

* Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
