Location: Harehills
Contract: 6-month Fixed Term (with potential for extension)
Hours: Mixed hours each week, rota over 4 or 5 days. Flexibility to pick up/drop off hours around your scheduled shifts.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 or Level 3) to join our vibrant nursery team in Harehills. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and dynamic environment, where you will be actively involved in delivering high-quality care and education to young children.
About the Role:
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting the development of the children within our nursery. Your responsibilities will include setting up stimulating activities, observing and tracking children's progress, leading small groups, and contributing to the overall smooth running of the setting. You will be expected to work closely with your team to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting up and leading a variety of engaging activities to support children's development.
Carrying out observations of children's progress and documenting their learning.
Leading small group activities, encouraging participation, and promoting positive interactions.
Ensuring that all activities are in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Supporting the team in daily routines and ensuring a high standard of care and safety for all children.
Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Working collaboratively with the nursery team to deliver a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children.About You:
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Early Years Practitioner who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development. To be successful, you will need:
Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
A minimum of 1 year's experience working in an early years or childcare setting.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
The ability to use your initiative, be proactive, and demonstrate flexibility.
A positive, can-do attitude with a genuine passion for working with young children.What We Offer:
