About the Estimator Role

As an Estimator, you’ll play a crucial role in preparing accurate cost estimates, tender submissions, and value engineering solutions. You’ll work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure competitive, high-quality tendering.

Key Responsibilities for an Estimator:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and competitive tender submissions.
• Conducting cost analysis, risk assessments, and project evaluations.
• Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Providing value engineering to optimise project costs.
• Liaising with clients, architects, and project managers throughout the tender process.

Estimator Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry (preferably within a principal contractor).
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and cost databases.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
