Senior Quantity Surveyor

A small but established and highly regarded Construction Consultancy is seeking an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its busy team in Cambridge.

Specialising in Quantity Surveying, Employer’s Agent, Contract Administration, Project Management and CDM Advisor services, areas of expertise include education, offices, warehousing, infrastructure, residential, leisure and retail sectors.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for career advancement – there is a clear pathway to Director and potential for equity.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor’s Role

Working alongside a Partner, the successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will initially focus on a large-scale refurbishment of an existing office block, as well as development of a new business park, on a listed landscape in the southeast.

You will also be part a team of 6 working across three core areas: Education (School and University), Residential (from private homes to 35 flats), and a mix of different commercial schemes.

Outside of project delivery and client facing roles, you will support the Partners with the day-to-day management of the team, and contribute to business development, client relations and more. This is all with the view of stepping up into a Director position, and eventually to Partner.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor

You will have a minimum of 5 years’ consultancy experience and live within commutable distance of Cambridge.

* 5 years’ experience within a construction consultancy

* Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar

* Preferably MRICS (APC will be supported)

* Strong communicator, manager and team player

* Eager for a challenge and looking for career progression

* Willing to travel to client sites 2 or 3 times per week
