We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Behaviour Mentor to join our supportive team at a well-regarded secondary school in Greenwich. This rewarding role will allow you to work closely with students who may need extra guidance to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Build positive, supportive relationships with students, acting as a trusted mentor and role model.
Support students in managing and improving their behaviour, fostering a positive learning environment.
Work one-to-one or in small groups with students to address behavioural challenges and build resilience.
Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to develop and implement effective behavioural strategies.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to staff and parents where necessary.
Contribute to the wider school community, promoting inclusion and respect.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children (school, youth work, or similar setting).
A valid DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
