We’re currently hiring for a Kitchen Assistant to join our established team at Eden House, a designated Approved Premises (AP) for up to 26 women, supported by a specially trained all-women workforce! We provide support for women either returning to the community after serving time in prison or have been given a residential requirement as part of a community sentence.
You'll assist the chef and other kitchen staff with various tasks, such as washing dishes, peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients as well as be able to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment. We’ll need your excellent organisation skills and attention to detail as you keep all supplies stocked and manage any deliveries. You’ll also ensure any health and safety risks are identified and reported to our manager on duty.
Our ideal candidate would exercise exceptional time management and ensure that all duties are completed in a timely manner. Ultimately, you should be able to comply with all food health and safety regulations. We appreciate that not everyone can tick every box, so long as you are a confident, polite, and courteous communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong team relations.

Hours: Part-time, working 15-20 hours per week (4 hours per day over 5 days)

Skills and Experience
Proven experience assisting in kitchens.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
To always maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and food storage areas in accordance with the appropriate food hygiene regulations.
Proven knowledge of food health and safety regulations
The ability to work in a team.
