Qualified Commercial Heating Service Engineer required to join long established specialist Mechanical Service and Maintenance Contracting Organisation. Joining an experienced team, your role as Commercial Heating Service Engineer would involve carrying out skilled work on commercial heating systems, attending customer sites within the Midlands, undertaking annual servicing, gas safety inspections and fault finding / repair of commercial gas boilers and associated equipment.
Successful candidate for the position of Commercial Heating Service Engineer should ideally be commercially qualified (although training may be provided for Domestic qualified Gas Engineer), able to work effectively independently, dedicated and flexible in approach. Offered as a permanent contract, the role of Commercial Heating Service Engineer provides competitive salary range dependent upon experience and immediate start available.
Commercial Heating Service Engineer duties and responsibilities include:
* Servicing, inspections, diagnosing problems/faults/leaks, testing, repair and maintenance of commercial heating systems. This includes boilers, water heaters, pumps and associated equipment
* Attendance to fault finding of gas appliances and systems
* Identify hazards, defects and the need for replacement, adjustment or repair
* Carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract/agreed requirements on services and associated systems
* Carry out tasks within agreed time limits
* Ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
* Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work
* Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Line manager
* Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole
* Contribute towards the smooth running of the team
* Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
Skills/Qualifications required by Commercial Heating Service Engineer:
* Gas qualifications (essential)
* Experience of controls and electrics (desirable)
* Must have a full driving licence (maximum of 6 points)
* Must be pro-active and able to work under own initiative
* Must be prepared to take part in the company call out rota
* Reliable, dedicated and possess high attention to detail
Location: Oldbury, West Midlands
Hours: Mon to Thurs 8 am – 4.30 pm, Fri 8 am – 4 pm (39.5 hours per week)
Salary: £30,000 p.a. to £43,000 p.a. dependent upon experience
