Order Coordinator / Production Planner
Are you looking for flexible hours? Our client is looking to hire an additional pair of hands for a 1 year fixed term contract as an Order & Production Planner
In return they can offer hybrid working (3-4 days a week in the office), Flexible hours ( To fit round school drop offs / pick ups etc) and a salary of up to £30k for the right experience.
As a key member of our team, you’ll report directly to the Fulfilment Lead, providing essential support across order management and production planning activities.
You’ll be working closely with a collaborative team including specialists in order management, production planning, and materials planning, to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Customer Service: Monitor the customer service inbox for inquiries and new orders, ensuring timely responses.
* Order Processing: Process orders within SAP system
* Production Management: Generate and manage works orders, coordinating closely with production teams, supply chain, and other departments to ensure on-time delivery.
* Communication: Provide clear and timely order acknowledgments to both internal and external customers, and handle customer queries and escalations with professionalism.
* Schedule Coordination: Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and take corrective action to maintain schedules.
* Support New Initiatives: Assist with new product development, introduction, and implementation of design/BOM changes in production to minimize business impact.
* Export Management: Raise export license applications as needed.
* KPI Management: Track and manage KPIs related to on-time delivery and product lead-times.
* Administrative Support: Carry out general administrative tasks, including generating and distributing reports.
Required Experience:
* Experience in customer service, order management, or production planning is advantageous but not essential.
* Previous experience in an office-based and/or manufacturing environment is a plus.
* Strong IT skills, with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
* Familiarity with S&OP, MRP/ERP systems (including SAP), and data analysis tools is beneficial
