About the Role: AK Teaching have been asked to support a group of partnership schools with their recruitment. They are looking for 8 dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their team in Newcastle (Gosforth). Successful candidates will play a crucial role in supporting the class teacher as well as building relationships with pupils on a 1-1 basis as well as full class support.
The school offers on site parking as well as regular training and CPD.
The roles will be split across 3 different schools with a mix of roles, full time and part time roles available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the teacher in the delivery of educational programs
* Provide support and encouragement to students to help them achieve their learning goals and thrive in the classroom.
* supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
* Adapt learning materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
Requirements:
* An enhanced DBS on the update service is required, or applicants must be willing to apply and pay for one through AK Teaching.
* Willingness to work with a wide range of ages, as and when required.
* Relevant qualifications in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare are encouraged but not essential.
* Relevant experience in a similar setting is highly desirable.
