About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at one of the leading Tier 1 contractors in the energy and civils sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to large-scale projects, ensuring that they are completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of our projects. You will work alongside project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of projects in the energy and civil infrastructure sectors.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Cost Management: Prepare, monitor, and control budgets for various energy and civil engineering projects. Track project expenditure, ensuring that costs are aligned with forecasts and budgets.
Contract Administration: Manage and administer contracts with clients and subcontractors, ensuring all terms are met. Review, draft, and negotiate terms to ensure project delivery complies with legal and contractual obligations.
Procurement: Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and assist in the selection of subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure the procurement process is cost-effective and aligns with project needs.
Value Engineering: Assist in the implementation of value engineering strategies to optimize project costs without compromising quality or safety.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects. Monitor and address any cost-related risks or potential claims.
Measurement & Valuations: Carry out site measurements and produce accurate valuations for work completed, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting any issues, variations, or changes in project costs.
Change Management: Manage changes to scope, cost, and programme. Negotiate and settle any variations to the contract in a timely manner.
Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination between stakeholders to maintain project momentum.
Cost Forecasting: Provide accurate cost forecasts and maintain project profitability by identifying and implementing cost-saving measures.
Compliance: Ensure that all works are completed in compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, and health & safety requirements.Requirements:

A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the energy, civil engineering, or construction sectors.
Strong knowledge of contract law and procurement procedures, particularly NEC and JCT contracts.
Experience in handling large-scale projects and working within a Tier 1 contractor environment.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.What We Offer:
