With an Outstanding CQC Judgement Cambian Shap Road is probably one of the best residential care homes of its type in the country. Located in the picturesque town of Kendal it provides exceptional care and support for young adults with Learning Disabilities and or challenges within the autistic spectrum. The home is a registered 4-bedroom house for young adults, who are closely supported to live as independent a life as possible and be a big part of the local community. We aspire for all people to be the best they can be as themselves.
If you join us you will be working with a group of young adults who are very happy, safe and show high levels of respect and kindness towards each other. The care and life experiences that we provide makes a significantly positive difference to their lives and parents have commented that the exemplary support their children receive has ‘changed their lives and given them hope’.
You may have the skills to support our young adults in their activities to raise money for charities such as our local homeless shelter or to help them prepare for a more independent life by arranging personalised activities, work experience or social events for them. Alternatively, you may be interested in becoming involved in our innovative outdoor learning provision that develops their leadership skills, resilience and confidence.
If you are an experienced support worker then we would love to help you develop your career within our calm, caring and supportive environment. Alternatively, if you are new to the sector then we can’t think of anywhere better for you to start your exciting new career.
What we need from you?
