Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst.
Location: Fareham, Hampshire.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £30k + Training + Benefits

We are working closely with a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy based in the South East of England who are looking to take on a BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst. You will be joining a friendly and busy team and will be responsible for carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy in line HSG 248 guidelines. For the successful candidate, our client can offer further training and career progression, company pension, and excellent holiday allowance.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Portsmouth, Havant, Waterlooville, Whitley, Cowplain, Petersfield, Eastleigh, Southampton, Winchester , Chichester, Gosport.

Experience & Qualifications:
" Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
" Will have experience working within a UKAS accredited laboratory for a reputable Asbestos Consultancy.
" In-depth knowledge of HSG 248 guidelines.
" Excellent observation skills.
" Able to communicate efficiently.
" Excellent organisational skills.

The Role:
" Working in line with HSG 248 guidelines, using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out analysis on asbestos samples.
" Ensuring to log all samples onto internal systems upon arrival to the laboratory.
" Bagging, labelling, and storing samples safely and correctly.
" Preparing samples for analysis.
" Ensuring to complete job sheets upon completion of analysis, retuning to clients in a timely manner.
" Maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation.
" Providing technical support and advice when required.
