Administration support / Housing Needs Support Officer

Overview: Provide crucial support to the Housing Needs Team, particularly to the Private Sector Tenancy Sustainment Officer and the Temporary Accommodation and Homeless Prevention Officer.
Full training will be provided on the job.
This is initially a temporary contract initially for 6months. There is the opportunity to go perm with the company after this.
Based in Haywards Heath / Free onsite parking
Working hours – 8:45am – 5:15pm Mon – Thurs / Friday 8:45am – 4:15pm (5 days in the office until training is complete then it will be 3 day sin the office 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure temporary accommodation is suitable and clients receive support to transition to long-term housing.
* Negotiate with landlords and letting agents to expand the supply of private rented properties.
* Support the prevention of homelessness by helping clients secure private rentals.
* Manage the Rent in Advance and Deposit Guarantee Scheme, including payments, claims, and tenancy sustainment.
* Assist with housing benefit and Universal Credit claims, ensuring payments are made and issues resolved.
* Conduct property inspections and maintain safety records for temporary accommodations.
* Provide administrative support, including maintaining records, processing payments, and supporting meetings.
