Finance Operations Manager
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Cambridge
Hours: 37.5 hours per week , office based working
Duration: On going contract – 6 months initially with potential to extend
Salary: £Negotiable DOE
Are you an experienced finance professional with strong IT and systems skills? If so, this could be the perfect role for you! Our client is seeking a proactive Finance Manager to join their team immediately. In this interim role, you’ll provide essential financial support and help drive the success of their finance division, whilst implementing and improving the existing systems.

Who are we?

Duties:
* Updating and implementing finance systems within the organisation
* Administer fees, council tax, business rates, and utilities.
* Produce monthly management accounts, act as a bank signatory, and attend Trustee meetings.
* Maintain accounting records, including purchase/sales ledgers, cash book, and journals.
* Provide financial advice to students and support external auditors.
* Report monthly on financial performance to the management committee.
* Prepare bank reconciliations, cash flow reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and management accounts.
* Assist with budgeting, cost control, and external audits.
* Oversee payroll, VAT records, and liaise with wider team on payments.
Skills Required:
* Previous management experience in an accounts setting
* Excellent IT skills and system use is essential – implementing and system improvement
* Strong written and verbal communications skills.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
