Our client is looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Engineering Department, reporting to the
Electrical Engineering and Automation Team Leader.
* Conceptual and detailed design and development of special purpose machinery.
o Design of sophisticated control systems including variable speed drives, PLC and field bus
systems
o Transform a written specification into a complete design including a set of schematic
drawings and a complete bill of materials within the company ERP system
o Design for manufacture and assembly
o Liaising with suppliers on bought out components and with other departments
o Development of test plans and procedures
* Lead or support contractual and development projects to aggressive timescales and budgets
* Support of associated department's needs (sales, service, production)
