KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Milk Education are working with a primary school in the L9 area of Liverpool who are seeking a full-time KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work as a general classroom assistant in a KS1 SEN base.
This role is starting after Easter.
The school are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing with a strong sense of initiative for this KS1 Teaching Assistant position. The hours of work are 08:30am- 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.
In this KS1 Teaching Assistant role you will provide small group Phonics, Reading and Maths interventions.
Teaching Assistant- Role & Responsibilities:
* Supporting children with SEN in a mainstream classroom setting.
* In this KS1 Teaching Assistant role you will provide small group Phonics, Reading and Maths interventions.
* You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensure the children's needs are being met.
* Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
* Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
* Deliver catch-up sessions
Teaching Assistant Non-negotiables:
* Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
* Experience personally or professionally supporting children with SEN.
* Must have a passion for education
* Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
* Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
* Must be reliable and punctual
