Civil Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Civil Design Engineer to join a well-established company in the water and wastewater sector. Responsibilities of the Civil Design Engineer will include:

* Completing the design and development of civil engineering projects, specifically in the water and wastewater sectors.

* Working with senior engineers in the preparation of design calculations, drawings, and specifications.

* Collaborating with the design team to ensure projects meet client requirements, budget, and timelines.

* Preparing and reviewing technical reports, design documentation, and proposals.

* Conducting site visits to assess conditions and gather data for design work.

* Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and health and safety requirements.

* Assisting with the preparation of project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.

* Continuously learning and developing design skills under the mentorship of senior engineers.

Requirements:

* A relevant degree in Civil Engineering (e.g., BEng/MEng).

* Some experience in civil engineering design, ideally within the water or wastewater sector, though more junior candidates with relevant academic qualifications and enthusiasm will be considered.

* Proficient in the use of design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools).

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively within a team.

* A proactive approach to learning and professional development.

* Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and health and safety practices.

* Salary of £40,000 - £50,000, dependent on experience.
