The Opportunity
Are you a mechanic looking to develop your skills within an industrial environment? Would you like to work alongside some of the biggest Mobile Plant vehicles in the UK?
If you have experience as a Mechanic within a traditional car workshop or a similar industrial environment then this is your opportunity to further your career within a large engineering team.
Onsite at Torr works, our Limestone Super quarry near Shepton Mallet we now have a position available for a Light Vehicle Mechanic. You’ll help to keep our site operational by maintaining a fleet of light vehicles (Landrovers/ Hilux’s etc.). You’ll work within the mobile plant team, focusing on the light vehicles however with opportunities to build your experience on heavy mobile plant vehicles should you wish.
Covering Monday-Friday days, rotating with 05:00-14:30 & 08:00-17:30. You’ll be in a fully equipped workshop with its own stores and specialist tools readily available.
With a focus on Health & Safety across our business this role is no different, you’ll carry out all repairs safely and continue to maintain a hazard free environment.
Who you are
You’ll have experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic, confident in your ability to service and repair 4x4 vehicles utilised by staff both within the quarry grounds and on UK public roads.
You’ll be able to work safely within an industrial engineering environment.
