Our client is looking to add a Estates Manager to their team. As the Estates Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the workload of the Maintenance department, ensuring a high-level of customer service while maintaining the landlord's assets in a cost-effective and efficient manner. This includes managing daily budget controls, work processes, and departmental strategies to ensure operations are carried out in accordance with company directives.
What is needed in this position is an Estates Manager that has excellent experience with CAFM systems, a strong technical understanding of M&E and Hard services and strong leadership ability.
Key Duties:
Responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing processes to support the Maintenance team in working efficiently, aligned with business priorities, customer demand, and compliance.
Manage relationships with key suppliers, including end-of-tenancy (EoT) cleaning, furniture, and white goods suppliers, while adapting to changing priorities in collaboration with internal teams such as Leasing, Marketing, and Operations.
Oversee maintenance resources across both apartments and landlord areas to ensure all building maintenance needs are met.
Collaborate with the Facilities Management department to engage specialised labour and resources when necessary, ensuring optimal service levels and value.
Manage the entire defects process, including during the defects liability period and for any latent defects that arise.
Ensure regular communication and meetings with other departments, particularly ahead of seasonal demand periods, to align strategies. Assist the Maintenance Manager in ensuring all work is completed within departmental budgets and that labour costs are controlled.
Support the operation of departmental budgets by prioritising cost efficiencies, identifying potential risks of budget deviations, and implementing corrective measures.
Possess a thorough understanding of purchase order (PO) processes and invoice approval to maintain good standing with suppliers.
Assist the Maintenance Manager with procurement activities to ensure effective departmental operations. Additional Duties:
Perform additional duties relevant to the role as assigned by your Manager, and promptly raise any concerns regarding workload capacity to ensure proper management.
Take part in the full-year and mid-year Performance Development Review process, both as a reviewer and review, adhering to the standards and deadlines set by the Company. Key Requirements:
Proficient in IT with strong knowledge of MS Office and related software packages.
Resilient and capable of working effectively in high-pressure environments, with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
Demonstrated success in implementing and executing standard operating procedures.
Highly strategic, with a solid track record in the Maintenance field.
Exceptional verbal, written, and organisational skills.
Strong customer service abilities, well-presented, and emotionally intelligent.
Extensive experience in Building Services roles, complemented by technical and hands-on expertise. Salary and Benefits:

Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm or 9am - 05:30pm
