Electrical Design Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a respected and innovative engineering service provider operating in the water industry. Based in Kent and Hampshire, the company offers robust engineering solutions and optimisation services across a diverse portfolio in both waste and clean water.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer will include:

* Managing all aspects of electrical design for projects.

* Producing and managing project-specific design deliverables.

* Interpreting and understanding client requirements through specifications, drawings, and correspondence.

* Communicating with clients, subcontractors, and external design resources to ensure specification compliance.

* Conducting site surveys and feasibility studies for existing assets.

* Preparing procurement specifications and detailed design construction drawings.

* Managing third-party designs and supporting installation and commissioning teams.

* Preparing and updating drawings, including single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment specifications.

* Recording and documenting design changes through to completion and issuing As-Built documents.

Requirements:

* A minimum of 3-8 years of real-world electrical design experience, ideally in the UK water sector.

* Relevant electrical qualification or time-served experience.

* Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented.

* Strong communication and project management skills.

* A full, clean UK driving licence.
