Job Title: BSL Teaching Assistant

Setting: Mainstream Secondary school (On site provision)

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Long term until July 2025 (With permanent opportunities)

Rate of pay: £90.00 - £110.00 per day

Location: Redbridge, Essex

Active Recruitment are working closely with a fantastic mainstream Secondary School in Redbridge who are seeking a BSL Teaching Assistant to provide crucial support to students with hearing impairments. You will be working within the school’s specialist on site provision under the direction of a dedicated and passionate team of teaching staff.

The school are looking for TA’s with a level 2 or 3 qualification in BSL.

Responsibilities of the BSL Teaching Assistant

* Support and communicate with students using British Sign Language

* Assist the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive, accessible learning environment

* Engage students in interactive and enriching educational activities

* Foster students' confidence and learning in a safe and supportive space

* Ideal Candidate:

* Proficient in BSL

* Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting

* Patient, positive, and dedicated to making a difference in young lives
