We are looking for a Production Manager to join a busy manufacturing customer of ours based in Maldon, Essex.

This is a key role in the company’s management team, as they look to implement new structures into their manufacturing processes. You will be afforded a great deal of freedom and scope to make the role your own, as the company look to intrust the right individual to drive the business forward.

Key Responsibilities

* Running various manufacturing teams – mentoring, guiding, managing production staff.

* Working closely with QC to implement new procedures.

* Building a close-knit production team to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.

* Visible on the shop-floor, with a hands-on mentality to work and management.

* Co-ordinating and planning

Essential Skills

* Experienced managing and leading manufacturing teams.

* Experienced in a variety of manual manufacturing processes.

* Experienced using MRP and ERP software.

* Able to understand and deal with a range of different manufacturing processes, from metalwork to elastomers.

* Have a keen eye for quality and ‘right from me’ processes.

* Proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing change.

* Excellent scheduling and organisation skills.

* Good understanding of materials.

Desirable Skills

* Six Sigma knowledge to Green Belt

* Experience using Pegasus Opera ERP software

* Seal and Gasket material knowledge

* EMC/RFI product knowledge

* Experience of the Defence Industry
