Job Title: Domestic Maintenance and Gas Engineer
Location: Sandwell
Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

About the Role:
We are seeking a versatile and skilled individual to join our team as a Domestic Maintenance and Gas Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and enhancing domestic environments. Your hands-on approach will be essential in carrying out 4-6 isolations per day within the housing sector to allow for remedial works, as well as performing pre-gas surveys and issuing landlord certifications upon recommissioning.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and will work with a range of tools and equipment to ensure all domestic systems operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

* Performing isolations to facilitate remedial works in domestic properties.

* Conducting pre-gas surveys and providing landlord certifications.

* Maintaining and repairing domestic heating systems and gas appliances.

* Installing and commissioning boilers and gas pipework.

* Troubleshooting and fault finding on boiler controls and mechanical systems.

* Assisting with plumbing tasks as needed.

Qualifications Required:

* CCN1

* CENWAT

* HTR

* CKR

* TB118 Safe Isolation

* CSCS

Preferred but not Mandatory Qualifications:

* Asbestos Awareness

* Working at Height

* Manual Handling

* Face Fitted
(Midwest can provide these courses if required.)

Requirements:

* Proven experience with domestic heating systems.

* Familiarity with current pipework installation techniques.

* Competence in plumbing is preferred.

* Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

* Valid driving license.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
