Job Title: Senior Paraplanner

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 (Depending on experience)

The Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will have experience working in the financial services industry, ideally within an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) environment, with a background in paraplanning.

Key Responsibilities:

* Contribute to the enhancement and streamlining of technical research, report writing, and processes to improve team efficiency.

* Provide training, coaching, and mentoring for Paraplanners and Technicians, including induction and ongoing support.

* Ensure adherence to FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) regulations and compliance standards.

* Maintain comprehensive knowledge of financial products and market developments, including legislative and compliance updates.

* Ensure client records and fact finds contain accurate and up-to-date information to demonstrate the suitability of advice.

* Conduct technical research and analysis to support Financial Advisers in meeting client needs.

* Prepare cashflow modeling reports to assist with retirement planning.

* Draft suitability letters across a broad range of financial advice areas, ensuring timely delivery with the necessary documentation.

* Support Financial Advisers by providing notes for client presentations or attending client meetings as required.

* Ensure the delivery of positive outcomes for retail customers in line with FCA conduct rules.

Requirements:

* Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills.

* Proven experience delivering written financial advice.

* Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and positively influence others.

* Level 4 Diploma qualification is essential; desire to pursue Chartered status is an advantage, though not required.
