Benefits
4 day working week. Salary package of £37-£39,000 including tronc, staff rewards and incentives, including 'Employee of the Month', winning a night off to enjoy dinner for two at The Barn at Moor Hall. Job Description
As a Sommelier, you will be an integral part of our front-of-house team, delivering an exceptional wine service that complements our world-class cuisine. Your expertise in wine selection, pairings, and service will enhance our guests' dining experiences and contribute to our restaurant's esteemed reputation
Key Responsibilities:
Curate and manage the wine list, ensuring a diverse and balanced selection of wines from around the globe.
Provide expert wine recommendations to guests, assisting them in selecting wines that enhance their meals.
Conduct wine tastings and training sessions for staff, sharing your extensive knowledge and passion for wines.
Collaborate with chefs to develop and promote wine pairings that complement our menu.
Monitor wine inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock and minimizing waste.
Uphold the highest standards of service and hospitality, ensuring a memorable experience for all guests.
Requirements
Essential:
Proven experience as a Sommelier in a high-end restaurant or similar luxury environment.
Extensive knowledge of wines, regions, and varietals, with a recognized qualification (e.g., WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers).
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests and staff alike.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
