Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a global leader in the industrial gearbox servicing sector to recruit a Business Manager.

The Business Manager position comes with a salary of £50,000 + Bonus + Vehicle, this role involves leading the UK couplings strategy, developing new business opportunities, building key customer relationships, and driving market growth within the power generation and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities and duties:

Reporting to the UK Director you will:

Define and execute the UK strategy for couplings, aligning with business objectives and providing HQ with performance insights.
Proactively identify and assess new applications in the power generation sector, documenting industry needs and shaping product positioning.
Establish and nurture key customer relationships, taking full ownership of a customer-focused sales strategy to enhance engagement across regions.
Represent the company at industry events, staying ahead of trends and independently developing new business opportunities.
Lead collaboration with HQ and regional sales teams, ensuring a consistent and strategic approach to customer engagement and market expansion.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Strong background in the power generation, renewables, or heavy industry sectors.
HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related technical field (desirable)
Experience in business development, sales, or market strategy within the industrial or mechanical engineering sector.
Understanding of mechanical power transmission and how couplings integrate into rotating equipment

The Business Manager position would suit someone who is:

Communication & Negotiation, excellent interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion skills
Strong time management skills, ability to manage multiple initiatives, meet deadlines, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
