Quality Inspection Team Leader – Leeds

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspection Team Leader for a leading precision manufacturing company in Leeds. This permanent, full-time role is perfect for someone with a strong background in precision engineering and quality control, capable of leading a team of up to 10 inspectors.

Key Responsibilities:



Oversee the inspection process to ensure products meet exacting standards and specifications.

Lead, coach, and support a team of quality inspectors to maintain consistent performance and efficiency.

Conduct first-off inspections throughout the manufacturing process, approve finished products, and ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Ensure the correct use and maintenance of inspection equipment, raising any necessary repairs with management.

Identify and quarantine non-conforming products and oversee rework processes.

Prepare detailed inspection reports, including dimensional and hardness test results.

Facilitate customer witness activities and maintain strong relationships with internal teams.

Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and legal regulations.

Essential Requirements:

Proven experience in a precision manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of quality inspectors.

In-depth knowledge of engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, and measurement methods.

Proficiency in using manual measuring equipment (Micrometres, Callipers, Thread Gauges, etc.) and CMM systems.

Familiarity with non-conforming product procedures and customer specifications.
