Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Duffield

Duration: Approx 1 – 2 Months

Shift Pattern: Full Time (Part time also considered for the right candidate)

Vacancy Details:

* To work with pupils requiring SEND support, set either in the classroom or in the schools specialist SEND provision

* Providing one to one or small group support with a variety of students with variable needs, largely based in a classroom environment

* Support to be required on a pastoral and educational basis

* Working with class teachers to create work plans for pupils and also to feed back observations and results to the teachers

Candidate Requirements:

To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:

* A teaching assistant qualification of at least L2, L3 preferred

* Experience of providing TA support in a school based setting for at least 1 term

* SEND experience in a specialist area is desirable (i.e. experience of working with autistic learners or EBD learners etc)

* Full enhanced DBS certificate

* Completion of the Merit Education Onboarding Process

* The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teaching assistant

* Commitment to working with the school to achieve the high standards that they are proud to have achieved

* A minimum of 2 school based references
