Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor – Water Sector
Location: Kent
Salary: £240 per day (CIS, self-employed)
Hours: 10-hour shifts (8-9 hours on-site) + overtime (time and a half after 4:30 PM, double time after midnight)
Start Date: ASAP
Travel & Benefits: Van and power tools provided, travel and hotel covered if working further afield

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a leading contractor within the water sector. This is a working supervisor role, responsible for leading mechanical teams on-site, ensuring compliance with company systems, and overseeing the physical delivery of projects.

Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities:

* Lead mechanical projects and supervise teams on-site

* Report to the Project Manager and ensure compliance with permits, progression updates, and time logging

* Oversee steelwork installations, including platforms, handrails, and hop-overs

* Supervise pipework installations (ductile, PVC, fabricated pipework)

* Manage pump removals and installations

* Work on specialist projects, including screen refurbishments, PST rebuilds, and aeration lane repairs

Mechanical Supervisor Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in the water sector

* Strong leadership and project management skills

* Experience in steelwork, pipework, and pump installations

* Full UK driving license required
