CAD Engineer

Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting for an experienced CAD Engineer to join our well established client. 

Job Duties: 

The CAD Engineer will report to the CAD Team Leader and work as part of the Mechanical Design Department.

Develop 3D models of company products and associated equipment, including full-system package designs.

Utilize information from various sources, such as client specifications, internal requirements, process design calculations, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, mechanical design calculations, and instrumentation schedules.

Produce detailed design drawings for manufacturing, including system general arrangements, assembly drawings, component drawings, sub-assembly isometrics, pre-form forging details, and plate developments. Generate bills of materials for procurement, hydrostatic test materials, weld location diagrams, and material placement diagrams.

Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and other departments.

Assist the Mechanical Department team by reviewing CAD designs and contractor drawings. Support the Mechanical Design Assurance team in ensuring design integrity.

Requirements: 

A degree in Mechanical Engineering (MEng/MSc preferred; BEng/BSc considered with strong engineering knowledge).

Strong working knowledge of Solid Edge Software. 

Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and creativity in problem-solving.

Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong working relationships.

A resourceful and innovative mindset with a focus on meeting deadlines and targets.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Understanding of fundamental manufacturing processes.

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
