Our client is a well-established engineering company that specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke solutions for a variety of industries.
As a forward-thinking company, they provide a collaborative and dynamic work environment where employees have the opportunity to work on a range of projects. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of new projects, they are now seeking a CAD Engineer to join their team.
The Role
Design & Drafting: Utilising Autodesk Inventor, you will be responsible for the creation of detailed, accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings of bespoke engineering solutions.
Project Collaboration: Work closely with the project management team, production engineers, and other departments to ensure designs meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Technical Input: Provide technical input on design feasibility, ensuring that designs are practical, cost-effective, and fit within the company’s manufacturing capabilities.
Continuous Improvement: Work on a variety of exciting and challenging projects, constantly striving to improve designs and maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of all design processes, including revisions and updates, to ensure accurate record-keeping and project traceability.
Problem-Solving: Take responsibility for resolving design-related issues, ensuring that any technical challenges are addressed promptly and efficiently.
The Candidate
A minimum of a mechanical engineering qualification (HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent) is essential.
Experience with Autodesk Inventor.
A solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design practices.
High level of attention to detail, ensuring that all drawings and designs are accurate and comply with the required standards.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
