Warehouse Operative

Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid Counterbalance Forklift License and a passion for progression? Our client in Newmarket, Suffolk is looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join their busy distribution team. This hands-on role offers the chance to grow into a supervisory position, making it ideal for someone who’s eager to develop their career within a fast-paced warehouse environment. If you’ve got previous distribution experience, enjoy a varied workload, and are confident operating a forklift, we’d love to hear you!

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Newmarket, Suffolk

Hours: Week 1: Monday - Friday 10:30am - 20:00pm

Pay Rate: £12.75 - £13.19 per hour- 43.5 Hours

Benefits: Free On-site parking, tea and coffee supplied, Team Lunches on a Friday

If you thrive in a busy warehouse setting and are a pro on the forklift, this one’s for you! An in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence is a must — you’ll be using it daily to keep things moving smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

* Move and store materials safely and correctly

* Help with receiving deliveries, putting stock away, picking and packing orders

* Loading and unloading lorries

* Help with counting stock and keeping records up to date

* Use forklifts to safely load and unload goods

* Carry out lifting and manual handling as needed

* Keeping your work area clean and follow health and safety rules

What you need:

* In-date Counterbalance forklift license essential

* Bendi/Flexi forklift license advantageous

* Previous experience working withing a distribution warehouse in a similar role is essential

* Strong communication skills

* Willingness to learn and progress
