Mechanical Engineer
Full-Time – 39 hours per week
Location: Leeds Office or Hybrid (combination of office and WFH)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience and qualifications, negotiable)
Travel: 30% (including international travel)

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a global leader in machine supply, for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join their Customer Care Engineering Department. You will work on innovative repair and modernisation projects that enhance the client’s global footprint and expand their offerings worldwide.

Key Tasks for the Mechanical Engineer:

* Lead repair and modernisation projects, including conducting site surveys and collaborating with field technicians when necessary.

* Develop detailed plans for field technicians to perform site inspections

* Engage in problem-solving refurbishments to ensure continuous improvement and resolve any issues related to engineering or design work.

* Provide technical support to sales teams during negotiations, offering your expertise to ensure successful client interactions.

* Travel to other global sites to build engineering relationships and enhance your technical expertise

Requirements for the Mechanical Engineer:

* Minimum of HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering

* At least 5 years of experience in a similar mechanical engineering design role

* Background in machine building or FMCG sectors

* Proficiency in design software (training will be provided if needed)

* Experience in the baking industry is an advantage, but not essential

Benefits:
