3rd Line Systems Engineer

Reporting into our Back-Office Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for providing 3rd line support, troubleshooting, and engineering solutions for the systems supporting Signet's online trading capabilities. This role involves working across a diverse range of technologies and platforms, including package solutions and bespoke systems, with a focus on ensuring smooth operations and integrating various systems. About the Job
Typical Duties
Working in a DevOps environment supporting continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD pipelines)
Troubleshooting Incidents and provide technical expertise and insight on a 3rd line support basis for online trading systems and connecting integrations
Perform engineering tasks on Signet UK owned online trading systems.
Advise and direct 3rd parties who provide support and/or engineering services for UK managed online trading systems.
Supporting the monitoring processes, identifying vulnerabilities and issues, proactively optimizing and implementing alert configurations.
Astute problem-solving abilities, the ability to find well-balanced solutions. This also translates into a high degree of flexibility and adaptability, especially in the ever-shifting realm of continuous development
Updating and consolidating documentation. For example, data flows and data formats. Ensure as many checks and fixes are handed over to 1st and 2nd line teams.

We're looking for a candidate who has:
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, even with unfamiliar technologies.
Skills in AWS (Particularly Lambada, , ECS, MQ.
Proven experience in MS Azure / AWS MQ, SQ Skills in Net, Python and Java.
A successful track record of designing, configuring, and monitoring IT systems
Demonstrable knowledge of systems integration.
Strong communication skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
The ability to build relationships with both technical and non-technical colleagues and suppliers.
A “can do” attitude, taking initiative and working proactively without waiting for direction.
The ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
